Go Teams: Short-Term Missions Trips
The Go Teams office will help you choose a location and project that fits your team, offer materials to assist your planning, help you effectively train and lead your team, as well as give you personalized attention to answer any questions you may have. We want to help you and your church fulfill God’s call to the nations!
I want to go on a missions trip!
What if your church is not ready to take on such an endeavor, but you really want to be a part of a short-term missions team?
The Go Teams office helps facilitate and coordinate a number of teams throughout the year. Whether you are looking into joining a trip by yourself or with a group from your church, you can partner with one of our official FMI Go Teams.
We have teams geared for NextGen students, gender-specific teams, medical teams, construction teams and teaching teams. The planning of these trips is taken care of. All you need to do is sign up, pay up and show up. These trips offer you a great opportunity to serve without having to take care of all the planning and preparation that needs to take place for an effective team.
There are four main ways that the Go Teams office can serve your church:
1. Helping You Go

2. Training You

3. Connecting You
There are numerous needs that have been specifically requested by our missionaries and leaders around the world. We would love to connect your church to our global family to help them meet these needs. Over the years, we have collected a lot of useful information to help prepare your short-term missions team. We have many resources available for the planning and training of your team. Become a Missionary
Apply to be a Missionary with FMI
Has God called you to serve as a missionary in another country? If your Foursquare senior pastor is in full support of your desire to serve on the mission field, FMI would love to help you get there!
Please complete our application request to get started. We will then get in touch with you to explain the full application process and send more information.
Foursquare Missions has three main missionary categories described below.
FMI Missionary Category
This category includes people who serve in a fairly traditional pastoral type missions role. An FMI missionary meets the following criteria:
- Is a Foursquare minister that is internationally licensed or ordained.
- Has a minimum of two years of fruitful ministry in a U.S. Foursquare church.
- Agrees to serve a minimum of a 2-3 year term (renewable).
- Is sent out by a local Foursquare church in partnership with FMI.
Missionary Team Specialist Category
This category includes professionals and those sent to the field to do a specific job or a specialized ministry. For example, building contractors, administrative assistants, nannies, teachers, web designers and medical professionals. A missionary team specialist meets the following criteria:
- Been a member of a Foursquare church for at least one year and/or is a Foursquare licensed minister.
- Has made a commitment of six months or more. Missionary Team Specialists may, upon approval, serve longterm with renewable term options.
- Is sent out by a local Foursquare church in partnership with FMI.
Missionary Intern Category
This category includes missionaries that desire a minimum of six months working and learning on the field under an FMI missionary or missionary team specialist. This category may also include those missionaries that are assigned to work and learn under another missionary before becoming an FMI missionary or missionary team specialist. A missionary intern meets the following criteria:
- Has been a member of a Foursquare church for at least one year and/or is a Foursquare licensed minister.
- Has made a commitment of six months or more (renewable).
- Is sent out by a local Foursquare church in partnership with FMI.

Participate in WorldBase
Now is the time, the world is the place! People are moving to major cities worldwide to find work and a better way of life, and Foursquare Missions is actively working in those major urban centers of the world. By learning and serving at a WorldBase you can minister in one of the major urban cities around the world.
People need to hear the gospel; they also need places to worship and to be discipled. WorldBase partners with local churches internationally to provide training in cross-cultural ministry as well as opportunities to serve and reach the city. There are currently four WorldBases, which are located in Thailand, Norway, Brazil and Paraguay.
